SL Groups: Change of Policy

PlantPets has two official groups in SL: PlantPets and PlantPets Premium. They have been open to join because we at PlantPets believe in freedom of expression.

However, yesterday for the second time a particular avatar has been trying to spread misinformation in the group chat, this time about introducing compulsory paid food for PlantPets.

We are not planning to introduce any compulsory paid nutrition or nutrition system for PlantPets. Whatever nutrition we may introduce in the future, it will be optional. It will always be possible to take care for a plantpet for free and make it give baby seeds for free.

In order to protect our right to work and live in an environment without stress we have decided to restrict the groups and allow avatars join them only by invitation. Avatars who are members of either group already do not need to reapply. There will be no longer fee for joining the premium group but we will apply our criteria for approving applicants. Initially, we will be approving only applicants who have either bought at least one plantpet or a booster pack from the PlantPets Main Store in the last month or can demonstrate that they have been with us for at least a few months.

Applications for either group can be submitted by touching the designated touch-boards in the PlantPets Main Store. Alternatively, applications can be submitted by IM to the PlantPets customer support.

Chat no longer will be available in the premium group. If you need customer support you can either use the group chat in the PlantPets group or contact any of the PlantPets customer support representatives. Their names are listed on a board in the PlantPets Main Store. However, we will still be forwarding all news to the premium group.

I believe this step will make PlantPets a more enjoyable and relaxing experience for all customers and breeders.
