New PlantPets Seed Pricing

Dear PlantPets Community, after some deliberation, we have decided to implement a new way of determining prices and selling seeds by PlantPets at the PlantPets Main Store and events. This DOES NOT affect the market booths and market tables at the PlantPets Market.

From the 6th of August, we will implement the following, which we hope will lead to a healthier breeders market:

• New common seeds sold inside the PlantPets Mian store will be priced at L$500 and each common seed will come with a 4-day water droplet for automatic watering of plantpets. Some new common seeds may be hidden at release, and we will not be selling them. Breeders can obtain the hidden common seeds via breeding.
• Older common seeds, sold at the four vaults outside the PlantPets Main Store will be priced at L$300.
• We re-introduce the seasonal status of plantpets. Seasonal plantpets have 11 baby seeds before becoming vintage. New seasonal seeds will be sold at the PlantPets Main Store and events at L$800 for a limited time only. Seasonal seeds will come less often as baby seeds, i.e., effectively they will be rarer than common seeds. Seasonal plantpets and rare plantpets give seasonal and rare baby seeds with a higher probability than common and limited plantpets.
• Rare seeds will not be sold at the PlantPets Main Store and will be hidden at release. Breeders can obtain the hidden common seeds via breeding.
• Limited seeds will be sold at the PlantPets Main Store and events for a limited time only directly from vendors at L$1925, i.e., we will stop releasing missions that reward new limited seeds. We will occasionally release missions that reward older limited, rare, or seasonal seeds, or other products.

Please note that:

• limited seeds come as baby seeds ONLY to limited seeds with a 10% probability.
• seasonal and rare plantpets are more likely to have a seasonal or rare baby seed than common and limited plantpets.
• members of the group PlantPets get a 10% discount on all prices listed above.

The rationale for the prices is as follows:

• L$500 is rounded 7x45 + 4*250/7, i.e., assuming the average price of L$45 of the 7 baby seeds of a common plantpet plus L$143 = 4*250/7 for the 4-day water droplet.
• L$800 is rounded 11x65, i.e., assuming the average price of L$65 of the 11 baby seeds of a seasonal plantpet.
• L$1925 is 77x25, i.e., assuming the average price of L$25 of the 77 baby seeds of a seasonal plantpet.

Any plantpet labeled as elite, whether common, seasonal, rare, or limited will be hidden at release, i.e., won’t be sold at the PlantPets Main Store or Events at release and will need to be discovered via breeding.
